Compassionate, Personalized Therapy That Nurtures Your Child’s Potential
Our Services
Clinic-Based Therapy Services
At Stepping Stones Early Intervention, our clinic is the first setting where we provide expert therapy for children from newborn upwards.
It’s a welcoming, safe environment where your child can develop the skills they need for life’s next stages.
Early Intervention Program (0-3 years)
Through the Illinois Early Intervention Program, we offer home-based therapy for newborns and toddlers.
This program focuses on fostering growth and development in the familiar surroundings of your home, helping your child build foundational skills.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy helps children develop coordination, motor skills, self-care, and daily living skills. By focusing on fine and gross motor skills, our therapy supports children in building independence and confidence in everyday tasks, from getting dressed to feeding themselves.
Speech & Feeding Therapy
We offer speech and feeding therapy to help children improve communication and feeding skills. Whether it’s encouraging clear speech or addressing feeding difficulties, our therapy supports your child in gaining the confidence to express themselves and eat safely and comfortably.
Handwriting Support
Handwriting support focuses on strengthening fine motor skills to improve writing. We use the Handwriting Without Tears program to make writing fun and manageable, helping children build the skills they need to write clearly and legibly.
Pediatric Orthopedic &
Neurologic Rehabilitation
This therapy is designed for children who need help recovering from injuries or dealing with congenital conditions. We focus on strengthening muscles, improving coordination, and restoring mobility, supporting the child’s ability to return to normal activities with confidence and ease.
Onsite Splinting
Onsite splinting offers custom splinting solutions for children who need extra support for their hands or arms. These custom-made splints help improve function and recovery for children with musculoskeletal or neurological conditions, giving them the support they need to move and play.
Sensory Processing &
Reflex Integration
Sensory processing therapy helps children regulate and respond to sensory input more effectively. Through reflex integration, we support children in processing sensory information and responding to it with more comfort, focus, and self-control, improving their daily experiences.

How It Works
1
Start the Conversation
Every journey starts with a conversation. Book a call, share your concerns, and let’s discuss how we can best support your child’s development.
2
Create a Plan That Fits Your Child
After discussing your child’s unique needs, we create a personalized therapy plan that works best for them. We take the time to understand your child’s challenges and strengths before recommending a course of action.
3
See the Progress & Keep Growing
Therapy is about long-term growth. We monitor progress regularly and adjust the plan as needed to ensure that your child is moving forward and gaining confidence along the way.
What Our Customers Say

My daughter has been receiving occupational therapy from Shilpa on and off for over two years now. We’ve seen an incredible amount of progress and development. Shilpa is super patient, gentle, and always available for questions and feedback. My kids and I love her, and I couldn’t recommend this facility more.

Julie Slevin
We love Stepping Stones. Shilpa and her team are amazing. My daughter loves to come “play”. We have seen such progress in her since she started going for OT. Thank you Shilpa!

My son has been receiving both occupational and speech therapy at Stepping Stone for over three years. We were referred by a friend, and it really has been a life-changing decision for our family. The progress my son has made has been incredible! The staff is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and always welcoming.

Both of my children have benefitted so much from Stepping Stones. They look forward to their visits every week as the sessions are interactive and fun. My children have showed so much progress as a result of consistent therapy. We also adore the staff here. I highly recommend! You won't regret it!
